Mr. Llarena graduated from California State University Sacramento with a degree in biology, magna cum laude. During his undergraduate years, Mr. Llarena served as an adjunct professor for inorganic chemistry and performed medical research with the University of Texas, Houston Medical School. He worked as an operating room technician for nine years and as a laboratory technician for three years. He gained invaluable medical experience and applies his medical background litigating workers’ compensation cases. Mr. Llarena obtained his Juris Doctor from McGeorge SOL University of the Pacific, California.

Mr. Llarena served seven years with the United States Army and the California Army National Guard. He is a native Spanish speaker.

Mr. Murdock obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego and was invited to join the Golden Key Honor Society for academic excellence. He began his law career as a paralegal for a short period and thereafter earned his Juris Doctor from McGeorge SOL University of the Pacific, California.

Mr. Murdock was a member of the United States Army Reserve from 1991 to 2005 assigned to the 75th Legal Support Organization (LSO). He was awarded two Army Achievement Medals with Operation Enduring Freedom serving the 75th LSO.

He is a direct communicator whose focus on action driven results, and commitment to finding the most talented workers’ compensation personnel in the industry, has been an integral contributor to the firm’s tremendous growth. Much of Mr. Lusiani practice has been in areas of workers ‘compensation and subrogation litigation in the Administrative Hearing tribunals and Civil Courts of Northern California and Northern Nevada from 1980, to date and continuing.

Mr. Lusiani commenced his international practice as a legal advisor with a short stint with a property and indemnity “club”, interpreting insurance coverage issues and handling claims for personal injury, cargo, property damage and environmental pollution arising in maritime settings at major seaports around the world.

In 1992 (immediately after the end of the first Gulf War) he became senior counsel with Al-Ayoub & Partners, Safat, Kuwait with direct responsibility over cases involving construction contracts, sales of goods, aircraft leasing, joint ventures and other international business entities, war reparation claims of local ministries of Kuwait, and Kuwaiti individuals and insurance related claims before the International Court of Justice at The Hague, Netherlands.

Mr. Albinder has started his workers' compensation career with a large defense firm as a file clerk and in less than a year was working as a Legal Assistant. A year later he was providing support to a brand new defense firm as Office Manager and Legal Assistant. It was at this time that he began appearing at lien conferences throughout Southern California’s Workers’ Compensation Appeals Boards. As the number of nuisance settlements and lien dismissals accumulated, Mr. Albinder applied his growing experience and knowledge in protecting the financial interests of employers and insurers.

Strong negotiation skills and a professional work ethic make Mr. Albinder a valuable member of our defense advocacy team. Previously an owner of a small telecommunication firm, and later a realtor, he fully understands importance of excellent customer service and timely communication with clients.

Mr. Matthews also served as the symposium editor for the Journal of Business Entrepreneurship and the Law. Ms. Sanchez has experience in a wide range of positions in workers compensation ranging from secretarial, lien negotiations, management and hearing representative in both applicant and defense oriented sectors. She has been working in this field since 2011. Prior to joining LMLM Roxanna worked at a Los Angeles County based workers’ compensation defense firm.

Ms. Sanchez graduated, with several accolades from the University of California, Riverside where she served as the student President of the University and earned a degree in Political Science and a minor in French. Her University accomplishments led her to the Study Abroad Program in Bordeaux, France where she was able to develop the skills in French and become a fluent speaker. She received her Master’s degree in International Studies from Chapman University where she researched Gender Equality and Children Development in the City of Udaipur in Rajasthan, India. She also served as a volunteer teacher for a semester to High-School students in the village of Ejisu-Abanase in Ghana, Africa.

Ms. Staško has had an extensive operations career and has worked for some of the largest national and global companies responsible for media planning and buying, as well as legal services. Ms. Staško has a strong background in change management and has developed various systems to maximize efficiencies, accuracy, and accountability.

Prior to joining LMLM Andra was the Operations Director of a major national workers’ compensation law practice with over 300+ employees across 12 states.

Andra is active in her community and contributes time to several cultural groups. She is also fluent in Latvian and contributes time to several Latvian associations.
